In the southern Gulf of Thailand you will find one of the most relaxed and hip islands of Thailand. We are of course talking about Koh Tao; The snorkeling and diving island of Thailand, where you will find the most beautiful coral reefs with tropical fish, sharks and rays immediately after the surf.
But also above water Koh Tao is beautifully beautiful with secluded bays, green hills and exotic sandy beaches. You will spend your days drinking fruit shakes, chilling in a hammock and lounging in a seat cushion while enjoying a drink and the sunset. Koh Tao has everything that makes Thailand, Thailand. Not so surprising that Koh Tao is one of our favorite islands!

Diving is magnificient on Koh Tao. There are many diving schools on the island, one we would recomend is;

These three small islands are connected by a pearly white sand strip. Hike to the viewpoint and take a dive among the many tropical fish.
The way up is only for real daring. The dirt road is full of holes and can be extremely slippery when it rains. But the view is overwhelming.
The southernmost tip of Koh Tao offers spectacular views of Baan Chalok Bay and Shark Bay. It is more than worth the 30 minute climb!

1. Mae Haad Bay
the beach at the ferrydock and the most central part of the island. Watch the local fisherman bring on land the catch of the day….
2. Sairee Beach
the longest beach on Koh Tao!
it’s got a real backpackers vibe. centrally located and walking distance from our resort the best beach on the island!
3. Mango Bay (Aow Muang)
a big bay with a small beach. The coral reefs make it one of the best places on the islandto go snorkling.
4. Laem Thian
a deserted bay on the rocky east side of Koh Tao. here you’ll find giant boulders and colourfull fishes you won’t find anywhere else
5. Tanote Bay
Tanote Bay on hte hilly east side of Koh Tao. it’s got cliffs you can jump of off
6. Aow Leuk Bay
beatifull rocky beach wich is great for snorkling.
7. Sai Daeng-strand
Sai Daeng Beach is a small strech of sand with a nice view on shark island.
8. Shark Bay (Thian og Bay)
Shark Bay gets it’s name from the blacktip shark who you still see there on a regular basis . And with a bit off luck you’ll spot some sea turtles.
9.Liberty Beach
one of the most beautifull beaches on the island. All the way to the south, near Baan Chalok Bay. The John Suwan Viewpoint is easily accessible .
10. Chalok Bay
ideal for a family with kids. The water is accesible for kids due to the shallow waters. It’s quiet but you still have a 7-Eleven and restaurants nearby.
11. Saan Jao-strand
Hidden between the giant rocks this is one of those mostly peacefull beaches. South west of Baan Chalok Bay. You can walk there or take a boat.
12. Sai Nuan-strand
Sai Nuan Beach is an oasis of peace and quiet only a 10 minute boatride from the shore despite the other tourist it’s one of the most laidback beaches you will find
